‘Boob Cake’s’ fabrication of exuberantly indulged silicone ‘icing’ pipework connects the double standard between the performance of eating and the social experience of being a woman. The expressive appearance of breasts shifts the objectifying gaze onto the fabricated foodstuff re-telling in its sculptural platform; as women consume, they, too, are consumed.
